Katana 1095 Carbon Steel Sword Hazuya Polished Hawk Koshirae Blade

This premium Japanese Katana sword, a piece of art and a functional tameshigiri (cutting practice) weapon, is made out of durable 1095 high carbon steel. It features maru (single steel) lamination enhancing its cutting abilities. The steel, water quenched and traditionally clay tempered, achieves a real hamon with a much harder edge.

The full tang blade, double pegged for extra security, lacks a bohi (groove) to increase impact when striking. The handle, with an authentic rayskin and silk tsuka-maki wrap, provides excellent handling. Meanwhile, the wooden scabbard features ring designs throughout its length, offering protection. Made out of brass and copper, the fittings are engraved with the Japanese hawk, symbolizing the warrior spirit.
