Katana T10 Steel Sword Dotanuki

From its name, it is no surprise that this Dotanuki Katana is inspired by Dotanuki School, founded by Dotanuki Masakuni in the mid-16th century in the High Province. Dotanuki swords gained popularity due to their superior cutting ability and durability with little care for aesthetics.

Like the Dotanuki swords of old, this Dotanuku katana is simple and elegant, focusing on the strength and durability of the sword instead. Forged from T10 steel and featuring a thick heavy blade with hamon along with iron fittings, it is designed for tough use and tameshigiri (cutting tests). Its full tang blade is mirror polished by hand and the tsuka (handle) has tight tsukamaki with hishigami. The blade comes sheathed in a simple black saya (scabbard).
