Chokuto Red Damascus Steel Sword Folded

This is a Chokuto type of blade, one of the earliest single-edged Japanese swords, heavily inspired by the straight Chinese Tang-Dao. It's in a shirasaya format, a minimalistic type of sword without a tsuba (handguard). Featuring a hualee wood simple saya (scabbard) and tsuka (handle), it's designed to safeguard the blade and protect it from rust and corrosion.

The blade is crafted from Damascus Steel, folded multiple times to create enticing, visible layers across its entire length. It has undergone a special electroplating treatment, resulting in a distinctive red colour. Real buffalo horn makes up its scabbard fittings, and the sword can be sharpened or unsharpened, suitable for cutting practice, Iaido training, or as decor.
