Windlass “US” Etched Model 1850 Foot Officer

A historically accurate replica of the single-edged, lightly curved sabers used by infantry foot officers from 1850 to around 1875, this sword combines authentic traits and materials. Its blade is distinctively etched with the "US" letters set within a floral pattern, accompanied by branches and scrolls on a black field.
Forged from 1075 high carbon steel, the sword offers durability and rigidity. The handle, with a wooden core, is carefully wrapped in leather and further secured with a wire cord wrap, ensuring the full tang underneath is well-protected. Brass fittings and a knuckle handguard featuring floral designs add to its historical accuracy. This blade, accompanied by a blackened steel scabbard, is ideal for reenactments and serves as an authentic decorative piece.
