Katana 1095 Carbon Steel Sword

This is a replica of a Japanese Katana sword, famed for its use by the legendary samurai, and is made out of 1095 high carbon steel. The metal of this sword has been properly heat-treated, quenched, and polished, augmenting its flexibility and rigidity for cutting. It has a blade with a full tang and double pegs, enhancing its overall stability.

The blade features two sets of bohi (grooves), which decrease its overall weight, and creates a tachikaze (sound of a perfect swing). The handle, crafted from traditional rayskin, is encased by a silk tsuka-maki cord wrap, allowing for a firm grip. The scabbard is a protective hardwood with a glossy shine. The fittings, a blend of alloy, brass, and copper, showcase a Japanese flower motif embodying renewal and hope.
