16th Century Scottish Claymore – Black Handle

The Scottish Claymore is a unique greatsword used by the Scottish Highlanders to fend off all sorts of enemies with powerful and devastating cuts. This replica of a Claymore is a massive, two-handed functional blade featuring a black handle with a rounded pommel and authentic, historically accurate sloping quillons terminating in quatrefoils.

The sword is forged from quality and sturdy 1566 high carbon steel, known for its balance of flexibility and rigidity when used for cutting. The wooden handle is wrapped with smooth leather, allowing for a firm grip, and its fittings are made of steel. Although a very large sword, this Claymore is made to be very light and well-balanced without lavish decorations, so as to not compromise its practicality when used for cutting or training.
