16th Century Scottish Claymore – Brown Handle

This is a Scottish Claymore that replicates the large great swords used by Highlander warriors during the late 15th through the 17th centuries. It is brown and has the authentic, historically accurate sloping quillons terminating in quatrefoils. The design is simple and true to its original form, not lavishly decorated, so as to preserve its practicality in cutting or training.

This great sword is forged from quality 1566 high carbon steel and features a very light design, unlike many other bulky reproductions. The wooden and leather-wrapped handle is massive and two-handed, allowing for a very firm grip. It is a functional piece that allows for very balanced sweeps and easy yet powerful and devastating cuts.
