Our Paul Chen Basket-Hilt Broadsword is a remarkable replica of a legendary Scottish highlander sword from the 17th and 18th centuries. The design is based on a Glasgow-style hilt from the mid-18th century, showcasing the association of Basket-Hilt swords with Scottish highlanders during that era. 

The blade, marked "Andrea Ferara", is believed to be of German origin, made a century earlier and later re-hilted with a basket design. The hilt is expertly crafted from stainless steel for minimal maintenance, while the high-carbon steel blade ensures durability and performance. The grip is adorned with wire-wrapped genuine rayskin, providing a secure and comfortable hold. 

The basket liner, reminiscent of the original, features fabric-covered sueded leather. Completing the ensemble, the scabbard is covered in leather. This sword captures the essence of Scottish highland history and craftsmanship, making it a true collector's piece.
