The Arabesque 1095 Steel Basic Katana from Shadow Dancer is a great option for any beginner. As one can guess from its name, its Shinogi zukuri (curved blade with yokote and shinogi close to the mune) blade is forged from 1095 steel, clay tempered, and mirror polished.
