Bawang Jian Pattern Steel Clay Tempered Rosewood Sword

This is the Chinese double-edged, straight "Bawang Jian" sword. It has been made out of patterned steel, folded a total of 13 times to produce over 8192 enticing layers on its blade. The sword has also been clay-tempered, which gives it a unique hamon line and hardens its traditionally made 8-sided edges. Its visual traits have been further enhanced by polishing it with a hazuya stone, adding a mirror-like shine.

Its handle and scabbard are made of quality rosewood with brass fittings. These fittings feature twisted lines and jade-like rounded designs at the center. The sword may be optionally engraved, and can be sharpened for functional purposes, or remain unsharpened for safe Tai Chi training and display.
