Katana T10 Steel Sword Classic Performance Aikuchi

Forged from T10 steel, this Classic Performance Aikuchi Katana has been tempered traditionally and mirror polished to reveal a genome (orderly pattern) hamon. The full tang shinogi zukuri blade also has a geometric yokote that helps to dissipate the impact on the kissaki (blade tip). Meanwhile, there is an option of having a bohi (fuller) that functions to reduce the overall weight of the sword, improve the point of balance, and produce a better sounding hasuji (path of the blade). There are two bamboo pegs (mekugi) that help to secure the blade to the tsuka (handle).

The wooden tsuka is covered with genuine panel samegawa (rayskin) and the tight tsukamaki with hishigami uses cotton ito (handle wrap) available in red, black, or brown. The aikuchi katana comes with a brass habaki (blade collar and sheathed in a lacquered saya (scabbard) that has buffalo horn scabbard fittings (koiguchi - mouth of saya, kurigata - knob for carrying cord, and kojiri - scabbard end cap).
