Hanwei Dao Cutting Martial Artist Design

Hanwei's Cutting Dao is designed by Scott M. Rodell, a martial artist, author, and teacher of Yang-style taijiquan. Having trained under several notable Chinese masters in both China and the United States, he is the founding director of the Great River Taoist Center.

This sword is made specifically for the art of cutting in Chinese Swordsmanship. Its full tang blade is forged from Hanwei's special steel formulation before going through a heat treatment regimen, resulting in a blade with optimized durability, toughness, and has excellent edge retention.

Staying true to the sword's original purpose, it is equipped with simple steel fittings to ensure uncluttered lines while remaining faithful to tradition. The grip has a black leather over cranberry ray skin for secure handling and to complete the package, a rosewood scabbard with fittings that match the sword's hilt.
