Dojo Pro Katana Model #14 (30 inch blade)

This visually striking Dojo Pro Katana Model #14 from Ronin Katana has a blade forged from 1060 steel and through hardened. The maru gata (round or circular) tsuba (guard) is based on an actual antique katana. Meanwhile, the blackened iron fuchi kashira (hilt collar and pommel cap) completes the design while the gold colored menuki made of brass adds a touch of luxury to the katana.

Inlaid with black same (rayskin), the tsuka's (handle) tight tsukamaki utilizes black silk ito (handle wrap) to give it a comfortable and sturdy grip. It comes sheathed in an eye catching red glossy lacquered saya (scabbard) fitted with hand cut and polished buffalo horn koiguchi (mouth of saya), kurigata (knob for sageo), and kojiri (scabbard end cap). The thick black sageo (carrying cord) is made of synthetic silk.
