Dojo Pro Katana Model #25

This sophisticated looking piece is Ronin Katana's Dojo Pro Katana Model #25 with a blade forged from 1060 steel and through hardened. Although the maru gata (circular or round) tsuba (guard) is based on an actual antique Japanese blade, it retains both traditional and modern designs. The fuchi (hilt collar) and kashira (pommel cap) is made of blackened iron while the gold colored menuki is brass.

The tsuka (handle) is inlaid with black same (rayskin) and the tight tsukamaki uses silk ito (handle wrap). It comes sheathed in a glossy black lacquered saya (scabbard) fitted with hand cut and polished buffalo horn kurigata (knob for sageo), koiguchi (mouth of saya), and kojiri (scabbard end cap). The sageo (carrying cord) is made of synthetic silk. Overall, the look of this katana is elegant as the color scheme uses both black, gold, and a brownish hue throughout.
