Dojo Pro Katana Model #28

Ronin Katana's Dojo Pro Katana Model #28 is a unique looking katana forged from 1060 steel and through hardened. The black tsuba (guard) has a mokko gata shape where there are four lobes, similar to the surface of a cut gourd or melon. Meanwhile, the fuchi (hilt collar) and kashira (pommel cap) are made of blackened iron and the menuki (decorative ornament) from brass.

The tsuka (handle) is covered with white same (rayskin) and the tight tsukamaki uses black silk ito (handle wrap). This katana comes sheathed in a black glossy lacquered saya (scabbard) with kurigata (knob for carrying cord), koiguchi (mouth of saya), and kojiri (scabbard end cap) made of hand cut and polished buffalo horn. The black and red sageo (carrying cord) attached to the kurigata is made of synthetic silk.
