Dojo Pro Wakizashi Model #1

Like all of Ronin Katana's swords, their Dojo Pro Wakizashi #1 is a unique sword. Forged from 1060 steel and through hardened, the blade has a consistent hardness throughout but comes without a hamon. The maru gata (round or circular) tsuba (guard) has butterfly and flower motifs, based on an actual antique Japanese sword. The fuchi (hilt collar) and kashira (pommel cap) are made of blackened iron while the rest of the wakizashi's aesthetics are complemented by gold colored habaki (blade collar) and brass menuki (decorative ornament).

The tsuka (handle) is inlaid with white same and held in place with tight tsukamaki using black silk ito (handle wrap). The wakizashi comes sheathed in a black glossy saya (scabbard) that is lacquered with a kurigata (knob for sageo), koiguchi (scabbard opening), and kojiri ( scabbard end cap) made of buffalo horn that is hand cut and polished. The high quality sageo (carrying cord) attached to the kurigata is made of synthetic silk.
