Dojo Pro Wakizashi Model #4

Ronin Katana's Dojo Pro Wakizashi Model #4 is an exquisite and elegant piece especially when it is displayed on a sword stand. The blade of this wakizashi is forged from 1060 steel and through hardened to give it a consistent hardness. Since all Ronin's Dojo Pro Line swords comes with a unique tsuba based on actual antique Japanese sword, this wakizashi has a traditional looking tsuba seen in many antique blades. The sword also comes with blackened iron fuchi (hilt collar) and kashira (pommel cap) while the habaki (blade collar) and brass menuki (decorative ornament) are painted in gold to complement the overall design.

The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in white same (rayskin) and the tight tsukamaki uses silk ito (handle wrap) to provide and solid and comfortable grip. The blade is housed in a black glossy lacquered saya with hand cut and polished buffalo horn accents (kurigata - knob for sageo, koiguchi - mouth of saya, kojiri - scabbard end cap). The thick sageo attached to the kurigata is made from synthetic silk.
