Katana Damascus Steel Sword Dragon Koshirae Clay Tempered Samurai

This is a Katana sword, based on the edged weapons used by the legendary Japanese warriors known as Samurais. Traditionally, it is made using the maru (single steel) method from 1095 high carbon steel, clay-tempered to produce a harder edge. It has a genuine hamon line and is quenched in spring water to achieve ideal hardness levels.

The blade is full-tang, featuring a double-peg for increased security. Additionally, it's traditionally hand-polished following the hazuya stone methods to enhance the blade visuals. The sword has a bohi (groove) to lower its weight and produce the much-desired tachikaze (sound of a perfect swing) when used for slashing.

Furthermore, its fittings and mountings are crafted from alloy, brass, and copper, each of which is exquisitely engraved, enriched by the presence of the Japanese dragon guarded by Samurai warriors. This Dragon Katana offers its user tameshigiri (cutting practice) and is safe for Iaido if ordered unsharpened.
