Katana Damascus Steel Sword Dragon/Sakura Forged

This Japanese Katana sword has genuine and historically accurate traits, just like those used by legendary samurai. With the motif of a Japanese Sakura dragon encircling a cherry blossom, engraved on the fittings, scabbard, and blade. The blossom symbolizes the blend between life and death, and the dragon represents the balance between them.

The sword is crafted from Damascus Steel and has been folded 13 times, revealing over 8192 unique patterns and layers across the blade. This double-pegged, full tang blade is quenched, polished in a 12-step process for a mirror shine, and heat-treated to achieve the ideal rigidity and flexibility. The scabbard is made of a glossy wood, while the handle features a genuine rayskin wrap under a tightly wound silk tsuka-maki cord for a powerful grip. Brass and copper fittings continue the Sakura/Dragon motif. This Katana could serve as a striking decorative piece or be functional for practical Iaido or tameshigiri use.
