Shirasaya Katana T10 Steel Sword Elite

This Elite Shirasaya Katana is forged from T10 steel and clay tempered to form a suguha (relatively straight) hamon that is made even more prominent via Hazuya polishing. This is done using a thin Uchigumori stone fixed with paper to remove rough grids, ensuring that the full tang katana is ready for tameshigiri (cutting practice). It also has a geometric yokote that helps to dissipate the impact on the kissaki (blade tip).

The saya (scabbard) and tsuka (handle) are made of hackberry wood while the koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard) and fuchi (hilt collar) of black horn. As its name suggests, the term "shirasaya" refers to the plain and featureless design, giving the katana a simple and elegant appearance.
