Samurai Damascus Steel Sword Oil Quenched Flower Koshirae

This Japanese Katana sword, symbolizing temperance and elegance with its flower motif, is constructed out of Damascus Steel. The steel has been folded 13 times, resulting in over 8192 visible blade layers. It underwent further heat treatment and oil quenching to achieve ideal hardness levels. A proper hand polish enhances the layer visuals.

The full-tang blade features two sets of bohi (grooves) that lower its weight and produce a tachikaze (sound of a perfect swing) when used for slashing. The handle features a cover of rayskin and synthetic tsuka-maki, while the scabbard is made of reliable hardwood with a gloss finish. The fittings, made of brass and copper, can be fully disassembled. This affordable Katana is ideal for Iaido, tameshigiri (cutting practice), or as elegant decor.
