Hanwei Katana Flying Crane Tori XL

The Tori XL Katana is an exquisite masterpiece from Hanwei's Performance Series with a full tang XL blade forged from K120C steel. This powder steel is exceptional as its homogenous and even carbon distribution ensures that it is evenly tempered throughout. After differential heat treatment and clay tempering, this katana not only has a beautiful jihada and midareba hamon; it also has excellent durability and edge retention, making it ideal for those looking for maximum cutting power in heavy targets.

As its name suggests, this katana features a mokko gata (lobed shaped) tsuba that features a Flying Crane. Other premium fittings include the fuchi, kashira, habaki, and Kabuto inspired menuki. The tsuka is then covered in black same and wrapped with high quality brown leather tusks ito. Completing the overall design of this katana is a saya with textured brown finish, wrapped at the koiguchi with black lacquered rattan.
