Wakizashi T10 Steel Sword Functional Maru

This Maru Wakizashi is forged for functional or display purposes using T10 steel. The full tang double pegged blade is then clay tempered and mirror polished by hand to bring out the beautiful hamon. With its shinogi zukuri blade which is generally seen in tachi, katana, and wakizashi, the ridge line can either be higher or at a normal height.

This wakizashi also features iron fittings (tsuba - guard, fuchi - hilt collar, kashira - pommel cap) and a tsuka covered in genuine same (rayskin). The hineri maki can come with or without hishigami using synthetic silk ito (handle wrap) that is available in black or brown.

Completing the look is a saya (scabbard) made of rose wood (Wenge) with the koiguchi (mouth of the saya), kurigata (knob to attach carrying cord), and kojiri (scabbard end cap) made of buffalo horn.
