Han Dynasty Jian Feather Pattern Steel Eight Sides Blade

This is a replica of a Jian sword made during the prosperous Han Dynasty (202 BCE - 220 CE) in China. This was a period when blade metallurgical advancements were at their peak, with swords serving as symbols of power and status. The body of this sword is crafted from high-carbon folded steel, producing many visible feather grain pattern layers throughout its blade.

The blade is full-tang and features a wide fuller throughout the center, a modification to help lower its weight and improve its handling. The scabbard and handle are both crafted from quality redwood and are wrapped with a traditional cord.
