Katana 1060 Carbon Steel Sword Hawk Koshirae Oil Quenched Full Tang

This Japanese Katana, following a black/red theme enriched with the Japanese hawk, symbolizes fighting spirit, boldness, and bravery. An affordable yet functional piece, it's made of 1060 high carbon steel. The steel is crafted in a maru method, a single-block technique, and has been polished to a mirror shine then quenched for ideal hardness and double-pegged for increased stability.

The handle features a wooden core wrapped in rough rayskin under a tightly bound synthetic tsuka-maki while its scabbard is crafted from sturdy wood, boasting a shiny and bright gloss effect. The fittings made from alloy, brass, and copper are each engraved with the Japanese hawk. Both sides of the blade are adorned with bohi (grooves), and when swung correctly in the style of Iaido, produce a tachikaze, the sound of a perfect swing.
