Japanese Daisho Folded Steel Sword Dragon Tsuba 1060 Carbon Steel

This sword set, called a Daisho, refers to the different blades a samurai would have carried with him, whether on the battlefield or for a peaceful stroll. It consists of the longer Katana, the medium-sized Wakizashi, and the short dagger-like Tanto.

Each blade is made of Damascus Steel and 1060 high-carbon metal that have been folded together to produce many enticing and vibrant layers dancing on the blades. They have been further enhanced by genuine clay-tempering to produce a much harder edge with a real hamon temper line.

The blades are full tang, secured safely with two bamboo pegs, each one having a bohi (groove) for sound feedback when used for slashing. The wooden handles are wrapped with rayskin under a silk katate-maki (cord wrap) for added grip strength. The scabbard is made of Huali wood, giving it a lively brown color, while its fittings are of brass enriched with a golden-like dragon theme. These swords can be assembled and disassembled, come with a free sword bag, and are ideal for Iaitd, cutting practice tests, or as decor.
