Japanese Ninja Sword Full Tang Blade

This sword, a Japanese Ninjato, is named after the straight, single-edged mysterious weapon used by the legendary ninjas of Japan's history. Following this mysterious element, this particular Ninjato boasts a strong, secretive dark color. It's crafted from 1060 high carbon steel that’s been heat-treated and oil-quenched, specifically treated to feature a black color across the blade for rust protection.

Full tang and double-pegged, this sword provides superior stability. Its wooden handle is wrapped tightly in silk hineri-maki style (cord wrap) over a rough rayskin pattern, allowing for a very firm grip. The blade possesses a bohi (groove) which not only lightens its weight but also creates a tachikaze (sound feedback) when used for slashing. Each fitting is a mix of iron, copper, brass, and alloy featuring a dragon theme, and its scabbard is dark hardwood with a highly reflective gloss.
