Samurai 1095 Carbon Steel Katana Folded Steel Blade Sword

This affordable yet functional Japanese Katana is made out of 1095 high-carbon steel. This steel has been folded multiple times to produce Damascus-like patterns. The steel, processed in a maru (single block) method, has been traditionally polished with hazuya stone to attain a bright mirror shine. Furthermore, it's been heat-treated and oil-quenched to achieve ideal hardness.

The blade, complete with a mei (inscription), is full-tang and double-pegged for added stability. It also features a bohi (groove) to reduce its weight and create a tachikaze (sound feedback) when swung. The handle, comprised of hardwood, is wrapped with rayskin and boasts a tight hineri-maki (cord wrap). Its scabbard showcases a shiny gloss effect for added aesthetics.
