Katana 1095 Carbon Steel Blade

This is a Japanese Katana sword. It is based on a real samurai weapon used in history and follows a flower motif symbolizing peace and hope. The sword is made from 1095 high carbon steel that has been properly heat-treated and oil-quenched to achieve ideal hardness. After a thorough hand polish, it has a mirror-like reflection and shine.

This Katana features a double-pegged full tang that increases its stability. It has a lower weight due to the presence of a bohi (groove), which also produces a tachikaze (sound feedback) when used for slashing. The scabbard is made from hardwood, and the wooden handle is wrapped with black rayskin and a hineri-maki (cord style) wrap, allowing for a very firm grip. Each of the fittings is a mix of alloy, brass, and copper with a golden-like hue; this acts as a contrast to the general dark theme. This Katana can be used for cutting practice if sharpened or safe Iaido and decor if unsharpened. A free sword bag is included.
