Miao Dao Chinese Grain Sabre

The Miao Dao or Grain Leaf Saber is a Chinese sword that is often compared to the Japanese Katana. Having gained prominence during the Qing Dynasty during General Qi Jiguang's victorious battle with the Japanese pirates, it was once again used by the "invincible Qi army" to battle enemies of the Ming Empire, making it a highly coveted weapon among the soldiers.

Dragon King's Miao Dao has a full tang blade forged from 5160 high carbon steel, an alloy that produces a flexible and resilient sword with excellent edge retention. This 34.75 inch blade also features a groove that helps to lighten the overall weight of the sword while improving its point of balance. This beautiful blade is accentuated by an exquisite dragon head blade collar that easily becomes the focal point of the sword.

Equipped with a simple brushed stainless steel guard and pommel, these fittings enhance the elegance of the 18 inch wooden core handle wrapped with leather. Completing the sword is a brown textured lacquered scabbard with a belt ring made of brushed steel and stainless steel chape.
