Ming Dynasty YongLe’s 8-Side Clay Steel

This double-edged gentleman Jian sword is based on the edged weapon found belonging to the powerful Ming Dynasty emperor, Yongle (1402 - 1424). He moved the capital to its current location, Beijing, and raised China to its height. The sword is made from Damascus Steel that's been folded to make the blade pattern lines very visible.

The blade has been hand-polished and features the ancient eight sides. It has been clay-tempered to differentially harden the edges and the core, giving it a genuine hamon line. The fittings are all made of brass adorned with a blend of Chinese and Tibetan designs which impart a noble character and appeal to it. The handle and scabbard are made from ebony wood, and the pommel has a traditional Chinese tassel hanging from it. This sword can serve as an ideal choice for cutting practice, Kung Fu training, or simply to enrich your home with the history of the Ming Dynasty's greatest hero.
