Iaito 1050 Steel Sword Musashi Performance

Miyamoto Musashi is easily one of the most renowned swordsperson in Japanese history, having fought more than 60 duels before retiring.

As a tribute, this Musashi Performance Iaito's design is faithful to the original, even down to the double ring brass tsuba (guard).

Forged from 1050 carbon steel and heat treated, the double pegged full tang blade features a bohi (groove) to lighten the overall weight of the sword, improve its balance, and increasing the draw speed to produce the proper sounding Hasuji (path of the blade). Its blunt edge ensures that it is safe for Iaido and Battōjutsu practice.

The tsuka (handle) with black or white same (rayskin) along with tight tsukamaki and hishigami makes for a comfortable and sturdy grip. Tsuka-ito (handle wrap) options are available in dark brown, black, or dark blue.
