Windlass Nashville Plow Works Cavalry Saber

Messrs. Sharp & Hamilton, operating under the trade name Nashville Plow Works, transitioned from a farming implement company to an armory with the onset of the American Civil War (1861-1865). Their swords, known for an elegant yet simple design, were favored by both sides of the war for their effectiveness on foot or while mounted.

This replica is a faithful and historically accurate representation of the Nashville Plow Works swords. Forged from 1065 high carbon steel, its blade is designed with a fuller across its center. Brass is used for the fittings, pommel, and backstrap, while the knuckle handguard features cast black letters bearing both CSA and Nashville Plow Works insignia.
