Daisho T10 Steel Sword Practical

The daisho, usually consisting of a katana and wakizashi was once an important status symbol for the samurais who flaunted their tastes and wealth on luxurious sword mountings. Ideally, both swords would have similar mountings, making the pair suitable for practical, ceremonial, or formal use.

This practical daisho set is forged from T10 steel, differentially hardened, and mirror polished to reveal its prominent hamon (temper line). Made as an affordable blade for tameshigiri (cutting tests), the full tang blade is secured to the tsuka (handle) with 2 mekugi (pegs) and features brass koshirae (fittings). The tsuka is then inlayed with same (rayskin) and wrapped with quality cotton ito (handle wrap) before it is sheathed in a glossy red saya (scabbard).
