Iaito 1050 Steel Sword Practical Musashi

Taking inspiration from Miyamoto Musashi, one of Japan's most renowned swordsperson in history, this Practical Musashi Iaito remains faithful to the original, down to the famous double ring iron tsubas (guard).

Forged from 1050 steel, differentially hardened, and mirror polished by hand, this iaito has a beautiful hamon. Its shinogi zukuri blade is full tang and double pegged for safety and stability. The blade also has a bohi (fuller) to lighten the overall weight of the sword, improve balance, and increasing its drawing speed to produce the proper sounding hasuji (path of the blade). Since it is an iaito, the blunt edge means that it is safe for iaido and Battõjutsu practice.

Its tsuka is covered with authentic black same (rayskin) and tight tsukamaki with hishigami to give the iaito a secure and comfortable grip. The look of this iaito is completed with iron fittings and a black glossy saya.
