Hanwei Katana Practical Plus Differentially Hardened

Forged from 1566 high carbon steel that contains substantial manganese, the differential treatment and clay tempering process results in a uniformed hardened microstructure, creating a tough blade with excellent edge retention. This katana is equipped with a kikka gata (chrysanthemum shaped) iron tsuba with a sunburst design, fuchi and kashira with Japanese Dogwood designs, a brass habaki, and dragon menuki. The tsuka for the sword is first wrapped with genuine white same and secured with black tsuka ito to provide a sturdy grip. It also comes with a black lacquered saya with black sageo.
