Roiyaru Wakizashi Limited (Sanmai)

This limited edition of Thaitsuki's Roiyaru Sanmai Wakizashi in Ivory pairs well as a Daisho set with the katana version or on its own. Elegant and timeless with an ivory theme that flows throughout the sword, it has a hand forged unokubi zukuri (cormorant's neck) blade with a triple steel structure. The body of the blade is made from folded 1060 high carbon steel (1024 layers) while the edge uses the harder 1095 high carbon steel. Besides resulting in a prominent notare hamon, the clay tempering and water quenching process also hardens the blade to a hardness of 35 HRC for the body and 60 HRC for the edge, giving it a flexible body with excellent edge retention.

It comes equipped with a mokko gata (lobed) tsuba, and other premium koshirae with hana (flower) motif. This includes the brass fuchi and kashira, silver seppa, habaki, and menuki. Two mekugi secures the blade's tang to the wooden rikko (hourglass) tsuba covered in genuine black same held tightly in place using ivory Japanese silk tsuka ito in the hinerimaki style. This wakizashi comes sheathed in a glossy ivory saya fitted with silver kurigata, koiguchi, and sayajiri with flower inlay. It also has a matching silk sageo.
