Samurai Sword Clay Tempered Katana Model #10

Ronin Katana's Model #10 is a Samurai Katana forged from 1045 steel, differentially hardened, and clay tempered to maintain its flexible spine while hardening the edge. This process also results in a hamon (temper line) that is often sought after by sword enthusiasts. The blade is secured to the tsuka (handle) with two pins.

The black and gold koshirae (fittings) on the sword are made from zinc alloy. The circular tsuba (guard) even has a samurai carrying a sword engraved on it. The tsuka is first wrapped with genuine white same (rayskin) and the tight tsukamaki uses a cotton ito (handle wrap). The look of this katana is completed with a black lacquered saya and cotton sageo (carrying cord).
