Samurai Sword Clay Tempered Katana Model #14

Ronin Katana's Samurai Sword Model #14 is an entry level Katana forged from 1045 steel, differentially hardened, and clay tempered to reveal a striking and attractive hamon. With the blade secured to the tsuka (handle) with double pins, the katana is sturdy enough for cutting tests and real use.

The koshirae (fittings) including the tsuba (guard), fuchi (hilt collar), kashira (pommel cap), and menuki (handle ornaments) are all made from zinc alloy. The tsuka is then covered with real same (ray skin) and wrapped with cotton ito (handle wrap). This simple and elegant katana comes sheathed in a lacquered saya (scabbard) and cotton sageo (carrying cord).
