Katana T10 Steel Sword Shinto

This newly designed Shinto Katana is hand forged from folded T10 steel, differentially hardened, and jizuya (using a Narutaki stone) and hazuya (using a thin Uchigumori stone fixed with paper) polished to accentuate the hada (folding pattern) and hamon (temper line).

This katana features blackened iron fittings (tsuba - guard, fuchi - hilt collar, kashira - pommel cap, menuki - pegs) and a tsuka (handle) covered in genuine same (rayskin) with tight criss-cross tsukamaki with hishigami using navy blue tsuka ito (handle wrap). This blade is sheathed in a glossy black lacquered saya (scabbard) with top quality sageo (carrying cord) and koiguchi (mouth of saya), kurigata (knob for carrying cord), and kojiri (scabbard end cap) made of polished buffalo horn.
