Hanwei Katana Shinto Dragon Motif

Hanwei's Shinto Katana has a daunting appearance featuring a blade hand forged from T10 high carbon steel, differentially hardened, and clay tempered to reveal a striking midareba hamon. The full tang blade also has a bohi that functions to reduce the overall weight of the sword while improving its point of balance. It is double pegged to the handle to ensure its stability.

One of the characteristics of this sword is the blackened iron tsuba with a dragon motif with gold colored eyes. This motif also carries over to the fuchi and kashira, giving it a fierce and powerful vibe. In line with the design, the seppa and habaki are also gold colored.

The wooden tsuka of this katana is then covered in white samegawa and the tsukamaki uses premium Japanese black cotton ito. The blade is then sheathed in a deep black lacquered saya with a black cotton sageo. It also comes with a traditional maintenance kit and protective cloth bag.
