Hanwei Scottish Sword Six Feet Lowlander

Around the 16th century, three types of Scottish two handed swords emerged. Out of these, the Lowlander sword or Lowland Claymore is the largest and heaviest of all. Also known as "Slaughter Swords", most surviving examples measure over five feet in length with a broad and double-edged blade designed for cutting and thrusting.

This Lowlander sword with an antiqued finish from Paul Chen faithfully replicates one such surviving historical artifact. Despite being almost six feet in length, its excellent proportions and balance ensures that it is fully functional. Equipped with Scottish quatrefoils in the ring guards and leather-covered grips with overlaid leather binding, this formidable and elegant piece is great for re-enactors and collectors.
