Synthetic Sparring Longsword – Blade Blade & Hilt

The blades of these synthetic swords are ingeniously designed to flex in the last one-third of their length towards the tip, ensuring safer thrusting compared to traditional wooden wasters or shinai. To eliminate handle flex often found in plastic training swords, the blade/tang joint is fortified by a high-tensile steel rod running the entire length of the handle.

These synthetic-bladed swords not only offer a safer alternative for theatrical use, surpassing the risks associated with steel or aluminum but also provide remarkable versatility. Red Dragon's interchangeable parts allow for the creation of various sword styles using a single blade. 

The Longsword and Single-hand sword feature sparring-safe ball-shaped quillon finials and rounded pommels, while the basket-hilt sword incorporates a protective pommel and basket. The grips, crafted from a rubber-like thermoplastic elastomer, effectively absorb strikes and ensure a secure fit on the tangs.
