Tachi Sword Hand Forged Folded Steel

Tachi swords, used by legendary samurais on the battlefield whether on foot or mounted, were edged weapons. This premium, functional, and incredibly detailed blade is a replica of a Tachi sword, crafted from Damascus Steel that's been folded 13 times to produce approximately 8192 visible layers dancing across its blade. The Tachi has a full tang blade, safely secured with two pegs, and has undergone further heat treatment. It's been quenched and historically clay tempered, with the addition of a hazuya stone polish, resulting in an ideally hardened blade with a hamon and reflective shine.

The handle, made from real rayskin, is covered with a synthetic tsuka-maki, providing a firm grip. The scabbard, constructed from durable hardwood, is lacquered for a shiny effect. The fittings, true to the Tachi design, are created from brass and feature a square handguard and a roped pommel.
