Tanto Samurai Sword Clay Tempered Hualee Saya

The Tanto, the smallest knife/dagger carried by the samurai, was used both in battle and in their everyday lives. This replica of a Tanto is made from 1095 high carbon steel, laminated in a maru (single steel) method to increase its durability. It has been properly water quenched and traditionally clay tempered to feature a real hamon with a much harder edge for cutting.

The Tanto has a full tang blade with two mekugi (pegs), safely securing it. Bohi (grooves) lower its weight drastically. This Tanto is presented in a shira-saya format, meaning it lacks a handguard while being subtly kept within its handle and scabbard made from natural haulee wood. The fittings are made of brass and the sword can be fully disassembled for maintenance.
