Hanwei Viking Sword Tinker 9th Century Sharp

Hanwei’s 9th Century Viking Sword pair is a highly inventive and original set, with its design reflecting various historical traditions of the early 9th century. Most notably, the circular indentation on the hilt is heavily inspired by styles popular in Trondheim, Norway during the period. Hanwei’s sharp sword has a uniquely designed blade of Spring Steel, which spans over 30 7/8” inches (78.4 cm) and weighs 2 pounds and 12 ounces (1.25 kg). This beautiful sword also features scabbards provided with suspension points and a period chape, rendering a highly elegant finish when sheathed.

This pair has held true to Viking tradition in other important ways—the construction of the pair differs from other pairs in our Tinker series inasmuch as they are tang-riveted in the Viking style at the pommel, as is necessary according to traditional Viking re-enactment requirements.
