Tricolor Han Jian Dragon Clay Tempered Steel

This sword is a take on some of the oldest double-edged Chinese swords, known as Jian, which have been in use for over 2,500 years. This particular model is influenced by the Han Dynasty (202 BCE - 220 CE) Jian swords, which had a larger blade and a longer handle. The sword is crafted from Damascus Steel, folded 13 times, creating around 8192 enticing and vibrant blade layers.

The blade, polished and possessing a traditional and uniquely Chinese 8-sided design, has been clay-tempered to produce differential hardening and a genuine hamon. The handle and scabbard are crafted from quality ebony wood and feature pure, tri-colored copper fittings which depict the Chinese dragon on the pommel, guard, and scabbard. This Jian can function fully if ordered sharpened or be used for training and decor if ordered unsharpened.
