WW2 Japanese Type 98 Gunto Katana Damascus Steel Sword Hazuya Blade

This is a fully functional, premium Japanese Katana sword, following the design and historically accurate traits of blades used during the World War eras, known as a "Gunto". It's forged from the mysterious Damascus Steel, which has been folded many times, resulting in 8192 visible blade layers dancing across its length.

The steel has been traditionally polished with a hazuya stone for a bright shine. It was heat-treated, quenched, and clay tempered to produce a real hamon with a much harder, usable edge for cutting. The handle features a double-pegged full tang and tsuka-maki over a rayskin cover. The scabbard, equipped with a lock mechanism, is crafted from iron and features a leather wrap. The fittings, a mix of iron, brass, and copper, exhibit a golden hue.
