Zatoichi Ninja Sword 1095 Carbon Steel Sword Clay Temper Blade

This is a Ninjato sword, named after the edged, secretive weapons used by Japan's legendary ninja. This particular blade replicates the one used by the blind samurai, Zatoichi, and is made out of 1095 high carbon steel. It was crafted using a maru (single steel) method, which enhances its cutting durability. The blade, which is full tang and double-pegged for increased stability, has undergone water-quenching, hardening, and hazuya stone polishing. This process guarantees optimal strength levels and shine.

The blade of this sword features a traditional clay temper, producing a genuine hamon and bohi (grooves) for creating a tachikaze (sound of a perfect swing). The Ninjato adheres to a shira-saya format, meaning it doesn't have a handguard and remains complete with its African rosewood handle and hexagonal scabbard, enhancing its secretive element. The fittings are brass and the sword can be fully disassembled.
